N-Music came from liking the visual language of Nothing OS and wondering what would happen if a music player kept that sense of restraint. Not blank, not lifeless, just deliberate.

The player is ad-free and open source because music already has enough things wrapped around it. The interface should help someone start listening, find what they want, and then move out of the way.

I enjoy the small decisions: how much space a control needs, when typography should be quiet, and how a little red can give a screen a pulse without taking it over. Those choices are easy to miss when the result works. They are also where much of the design lives.
